EducationAIOU to hold `Mehfil-e-Mushaira' on Monday

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold Mehfil-e-Mushaira on Monday, at its Officers’ club at 6 pm.

Poets from various cities including Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Multan will participate. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Shahid Siddiqui will preside over the moot.

This is part of University’s continuous efforts to develop the University as a Centre of social, literacy and cultural activities focusing more on creative and knowledge-based academic pursuits in order to motivate its students towards positive and healthy way of life, said a press release.

More than 100 events were arranged during the last one year, in which eminent personalities were invited to share experience and knowledge in their respective fields aimed at promoting knowledge, skill and positive attitude among the students and its employees as well.
