ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has launched MSc degree programme in environmental design in collaboration with British Council and Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the benefit of engineering community.
It is in line with the vision of Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui to introduce such programs which benefits the society and helps the country to address country’s s socio-economic problems.
Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has endorsed this program as value added professionally qualification for engineers which is also considered for CPD credit points for PEC registered engineers.
The program is also equated by HEC as MPhil programme.
Interested students could take admission in this program till March 31.
Two certificate courses of six months duration in “introduction to environmental design” and “environmental psychology” have also been launched on the demand of students and professionals in the current semester.
According to the University’s department of Home and Health Sciences, the program offers research based value added degree to upgrade professional practice of engineers and designers to provide better job prospects at home and abroad.
