ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has said that during the last five years, 54,147 scholars have been enrolled in MPhil programs and 7692 in Ph.D in Pakistanis Universities.
In a report issued by the HEC, it was told that more than 5,000 Pakistani scholars were facilitated to present their research work in leading international conferences abroad.
The HEC report said that the next five year plan of higher education sector is focused on creating the knowledge capital and technology required to enable Pakistan to join the ranks of the industrially advanced countries.
Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Wednesday, an official of the HEC said that these major steps are taken by the HEC for improvement of Higher Education in the Country.
