ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab Education Department has decided to recruit around 2,000 new Education Officers across the province for monitoring of government schools and improving other administrative matters.
Sources in the Education Department told that both Male and Female Education Officers will be recruited in grade-17 while further 1,350 Assistant Education Officers (AEOs), and 2,005 Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry Male/Female Secondary School Teachers (SSTs) will be recruited in grade-16.
It is pertinent to mention here that recently AEOs were recruited directly in Punjab, but now further recruitments are being made for the same posts.
Sources said that budget has also been allocated for the recruitment of Education Officers, Education Officers and SSTs, according to Daily Nai Baat.
Furthermore, sources said that it has been decided that recruitment of around 2,000 Education Officers will be made in all districts of Punjab including in Jhelum to bring improvements in the education system.
They said that recent recruitment of Assistant Education Officers didn’t fill all vacant posts; therefore, further 1,350 AEOs will be recruited while there will be one Assistant Education Officer for seven to eight schools.
It will help improve schools monitoring and other administrative matters, sources said.
