HARIPUR, Pakistan: Minister of State and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon Friday said one million children would be sent to schools across the country during this year under special BISP programme.

She expressed these views while talking to women beneficiaries of BISP programme here.

She said that Rs.250 monthly stipend would be paid to each student after verification of monthly attendance of the schools.

She said the Prime Minister has given a task to her to create awareness among the women about imparting of education to their children.

Marvi said that BISP’s women beneficiaries were getting amount through debt/ATM cards. Soon a new system of debt card was being introduced for provision of monthly stipend through thumb impression.

She urged the women folk to regularly administer polio vaccine to their children besides immunization against various diseases.

Marvi also called upon them to take benefit from the PM interest free loan programme and expand their business.
