ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister of State for Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Wednesday said that there was no proposal for reduction of fee of the private educational institutions.
The Minister was chairing a consultative meeting on Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Rules attended by the representatives of private educational institutions.
Dr Tariq said, “Development of education sector is top priority of the government and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has started Education Reforms Programme in the capital public schools.”
He said the government would continue to facilitate this sector acknowledging the role of private institutions in the field of education.
“We want to achieve a win-win situation in which all stakeholders including parents and school owners should be happy” the Minister maintained.
He assured representatives of private schools that their proposals would be considered at the time of amending PEIRA Rules.
He said that guidelines for the increase in tuition fee would be communicated to schools’ management by August 1, 2016.
Secretary CA&DD, Additional secretary and chairman PEIRA representatives of private schools of rural areas of Islamabad also precipitated in the meeting.
