ECNEC approves Gaddani Park Coal Power Project, Karachi Water Supply Project

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A meeting of the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) was held in Islamabad on Friday with the finance minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.

During the meeting, the ECNEC approved two mega projects including Gaddani Park Coal Power Project in Balochistan and Karachi Water Supply Project worth Rs150 billion.

The Gaddani Park Power Project will generate 6,600 megawatt electricity through coal based projects.

On the other hand, the Karachi Water Supply Project will cost Rs25 billion and it is aimed at enhancing water supply to the people of the city besides improving the existing water supply system.
