Driving Rules in UAEDriving License: You need a valid UAE driving license to drive in the Country. If you’re a resident, you can get a license by passing a driving test. Visitors can drive with an international driving license for up to six months.

Seat Belt: All passengers in a car must wear a seat belt, and children under the age of four must be secured in a child seat.

Speed Limits: Speed limits in the UAE vary depending on the area. In general, the speed limit is 60-80kilometers per hour (km/h) in residential areas, 100-120 km/h on highways, and 140 km/h on some major highways.

Mobile phones: Using a mobile phone while driving is illegal in the UAE, and you can be fined if caught.
Drinking and driving: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited in the UAE. The legal blood alcohol limit is zero.
Traffic signals: Always follow traffic signals and road signs. Running a red light or ignoring a stop sign can result in a fine.
Overtaking: Overtaking on the right is illegal in the UAE, and you can be fined for doing so. Always use your indicators when changing lanes.
Emergency vehicles: If you see an emergency vehicle with its sirens on, pull over to the side of the road and give way.
Road conditions: The UAE has a high standard of roads, but drivers should still exercise caution and be aware of road conditions, particularly in areas under construction.
Carrying documents: You should always carry your driving license, registration card, and insurance documents with you while driving in the UAE.
