ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The United States on Wednesday said that it would continue to work in partnership with Pakistan to dismantle terrorist networks.

In a meeting with the Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry in Islamabad, the US ambassador to Pakistan David Hale condemned the recent horrific terrorist attacks across the Country and offered condolences to the families of the victims.

The US ambassador emphasized that the US forces in Afghanistan had worked closely with their Afghan counterparts to strike the terrorist groups who had claimed responsibility for the attacks in Pakistan.

David Hale said that the United States would continue to work in partnership with Pakistan to dismantle terrorist networks.

The ambassador also congratulated the foreign secretary on his new assignment as ambassador to the United States of America, and wished him well.

Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry was appointed earlier in February this year as the new Pakistan’s envoy to the US. He would join his new assignment in Washington in March 2017.

While currently serving as Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Tehmina Janjua would replace Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry as Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary.
