RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliky has expressed his desire to further diversify the defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and enhance the transfer of technology in the defence production domain.
In a meeting with the Secretary Defence Lt General (retd) Mian Muhammad Hilal Hussain at the Ministry of Defence in Rawalpindi on Friday, the Saudi ambassador expressed his appreciation for the military training offered by the Pakistan armed forces training establishments and the standard being maintained therein.
The secretary defence conveyed that Pakistan attaches great value to its relations with Saudi Arabia.
Lt General (retd) Mian Muhammad Hilal Hussain said that the scope and scale of defence cooperation between two Countries are exemplary and all efforts are in hand to further enhance the level of cooperation.
The secretary defence apprised the Saudi ambassador about the opportunities for regional economic cooperation being offered by the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
The ambassador highlighted the Saudi interest in investment in POL Sector and expressed hope to see tangible progress in the near future.
In the end, both dignitaries agreed to work together to further strengthen bilateral defence collaboration.
