It is highly expected that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign a number of major investment deals including the construction of a US $10 billion oil refinery in Gwadar Port during the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s upcoming visit to Islamabad.

“This visit holds immense significance for Pakistan,” the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said while taking to media in Islamabad on January 31.

The Saudi Crown Prince will participate in an International Investment Conference in Islamabad, which will deliberate on energy, petro chemicals, housing, tourism in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in this regard.

Sources said that a 40-member Saudi delegation and over 100 Saudi and Pakistani business leaders will attend the event.
