ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud is expected to stay at Prime Minister House in Islamabad during his two-day stay in Pakistan, sources said on Monday.

Mohammed Bin Salman will arrive in Islamabad on February 16 along with a high level delegation.

Meanwhile, the advance security team of the Saudi Crown Prince has reached Pakistan and undertaken a visit to various areas of the Federal Capital, sources said.

Sources said that a delegation of the Saudi media has also reached Pakistan for the coverage of Crown Prince’s visit. In addition, Mohammed Bin Salman’s doctors team has also reached Pakistan.

It is highly expected that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will sign a number of major investment deals including the construction of a US $10 billion oil refinery in Gwadar Port during the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s upcoming visit to Islamabad.

“This visit holds immense significance for Pakistan,” the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said while taking to media in Islamabad on January 31.

The Saudi Crown Prince will participate in an International Investment Conference in Islamabad, which will deliberate on energy, petro chemicals, housing, tourism in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in this regard.

Sources said that a 40-member Saudi delegation and over 100 Saudi and Pakistani business leaders will attend the event.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
