ABU DHABI, UAE: Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday organized an event at its premises to celebrate the Christmas along-with Pakistani Christian expatriate community.
The event was also attended by women, children and elderly members of the community.
Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi conveyed best wishes for the Christmas celebrations and highlighted the importance of interreligious and intercultural harmony.
The ambassador said that the Pakistani Christian community in the UAE was an important component of the diaspora.
Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi recalled their important contribution in Pakistan as well as UAE’s socio-economic progress.
The envoy praised the UAE’s leadership and government for hosting more than 200 nationalities in the Country and providing them with employment as well as culture of peace and tolerance.
Pastor Rufus Khokhar from Church of Pakistan also spoke on the occasion.
In conclusion, Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi joined all the participants in the cake cutting ceremony.
