BEIJING, China: At the Beijing’s World Park on Tuesday, the Ambassador of Pakistan Moin Ul Haque unveiled a newly constructed replica of the Alamgiri gate – the entrance of the UNESCO World Heritage, Lahore Fort, built by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in seventeenth century in Lahore, Pakistan.Newly constructed Replica of Alamgiri Gate inaugurated at World Park in Beijing

In the recent months, this is the second replica of a Pakistani monument unveiled in China as part of the efforts to further strengthen cultural and people to people ties.

The Embassy of Pakistan organized a befitting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Moin ul Haque highlighted the historical significance of Alamgiri Gate and hoped that the replica would serve as a symbol of exemplary China-Pakistan friendship.

The ambassador said that Pakistan and China are celebrating 2023 as a year of tourism and added the replica would attract Chinese tourists to visit historical and cultural sites in Pakistan.

Highlighting the time-honored relationship between the two Countries, the Ambassador emphasized the key role of cultural cooperation in promoting mutual trust and strengthening strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan.

A large number of Chinese scholars, media persons and members of the Pakistani community attended the inauguration ceremony.
