ANKARA, Türkiye: Pakistan Mango Festival was held at Pakistan Embassy lawns in Ankara where guests enjoyed the sweet taste of the world famous Pakistani mangoes.

The exceptional sweetness, rich flavour and irresistible aroma makes Pakistani mangoes, a favourite treat worldwide.

Welcoming the guests, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid highlighted the exceptional taste of Pakistani mangoes, emphasizing their status as king of fruits.

The ambassador stated that Pakistan is the 5th largest producer and the 7th largest exporter of mangoes in the world. Over 200 varieties of high quality mangoes – including Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, Langra, Maldah, Dusehri, Fajri and others are produced in Pakistan, he added.

At the festival, guests were treated to freshly cut Chaunsa, the most popular mango variety from Pakistan and an assortment of mouthwatering mango-based recipes including luscious mango smoothies, delectable mango pudding, refreshing mango juice, invigorating mango shakes, delicious ice cream, and desserts made of freshly-arrived mangoes from Pakistan.

The sweetness of mango was complemented with the savory dishes, such as mango chicken curry, mango salad, mango pickle, spinach with traditional maize bread.

The fusion of flavors mesmerized guests with an appreciation for Pakistani mango.

The festival was attended by a large number of Turkish dignitaries including Chairman Pakistan Turkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group Member Parliament Ali Sahin, Member Parliament Burhan Kayaturk, Former Minister for Agriculture Mehmet Mehdi Eker, Governor Ankara Vasip Sahin, Deputy Minister Foreign Affairs Ms. A. Berris Ekinci, founder Baskent University Mehmet Haberal, members of Diplomatic Corps, businessmen, media and representatives of TUGIDER (Food Importers Association of Turkiye, TUROB (Hotel Association of Turkiye) and major retail chains of Turkiye.

His Royal Highnes conveyed his heartfelt acknowledgement to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu for the participation of Pakistan Air Force contingent comprising JF-17 Block-III fighter jets alongside air and ground crew in the Bahrain International Airshow. Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
