TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: The Member of UK’s House of Lords Muhammad Sheikh visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent on Monday.

Muhammad Sheikh was briefed in detail about the ongoing alarming security and human rights situation in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Dr Irfan Yusuf Shami and all officers of the Embassy.

The British lawmaker was also handed over a complete set of documents including Prime Minister Imran Khan’s most recent Op-ed article in daily The New York Times of August 30, 2019 on this issue since the illegal Indian decision of August 05, 2019 and subsequent actions in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

The Lord Muhammad Sheikh was encouraged to play a pro-active role in urging the Indian government to immediately reverse its illegal decisions and actions as well as to proactively make efforts to diffuse the ongoing and escalating peace and security crisis in South Asia.
