BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: Zahid Jan, the grandson of Grand Qazi Janibek of Uzgen, met the Ambassador of Pakistan in Kyrgyzstan Faisal Niaz Tirmizi at Pakistan’s Embassy in Bishkek.

Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi welcomed him and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Qazi Janibek was the Grand Mufti of Uzgen and moved to Gilgit following the October 1917 Revolution in the Soviet Union.

At present 2600 ethnic Kyrgyz are living in Pakistan mostly grandchildren and relatives of Grand Qazi Janibek.
