CAIRO, Egypt: The 83rd National Day of Pakistan was celebrated with traditional zeal and fervour at the Embassy of Pakistan in Caro.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt Sajid Bilal hoisted the flag of Pakistan to the tune of national anthem.

Prayers were offered for the well-being, peace and prosperity of Pakistan. On the occasion, messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out.

Earlier, the Chamberlain of the Presidency Abdel Aziz Al-Sharif called on Ambassador Sajid Bilal and delivered a congratulatory message from President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the National Day of Pakistan.

The Embassy also organized an impressive reception in Cairo on March 19 to celebrate the 83rd National Day and 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-Egypt diplomatic relations in a befitting manner.

The Minister of Public Business Sector of Egypt Engineer Mahmoud Esmat graced the occasion as the chief guest.Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo Celebrates 83rd National Day of Pakistan

In his welcoming remarks at the reception, Ambassador Sajid Bilal highlighted the significance of the National Day and stated that this is an occasion to reaffirm our commitment to make Pakistan a beacon of peace, prosperity and progress.

Emphasizing the importance of the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations, the Ambassador said that Pakistan is committed to transform this relationship into an enduring partnership.

The ambassador also said that the enhanced bilateral engagements over the past years have led to strengthening of political, economic, defence and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt.

Ambassador Sajid Bilal thanked the small but vibrant Pakistani community in Egypt for being true brand ambassadors of Pakistan and the bridge builders between the two countries.

The Chief Guest Engineer Mahmoud Esmat in his remarks underscored that Pakistan is a pivotal country in South Asia with a strong emerging economy.

Engineer Mahmoud Esmat affirmed to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt at all levels.

A large number of Egyptian government officials, parliamentarians, diplomatic corps, business community, academia and journalists attended the reception.
