ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: “Obiter Dictum”, a book by Ambassador Najm Us Saqib offers a wide-ranging and ambitious analysis of world events that challenge the status quo and provides a space of debate on global affairs, will be launched on June 15, 2023.
The Book Launch Ceremony of “Obiter Dictum” will be held at the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) in Islamabad.
The book “Obiter Dictum” unlocks the thinking paradigm and compels one to reason on a rational basis, the events which invariably affect all spheres of life while making sense of global, diplomatic, and political nuances and undertones.
The book actuates freedom of thought and offers solutions to theories and predispositions for an open, prosperous, tolerant, and pluralistic society. It will prove as a major work in the history of generations to come.

About the Author:
Ambassador Najm Us Saqib was born in a literary family of Sialkot in 1960. He studied literature, law, philosophy, psychology, and international relations before joining the Foreign Service of Pakistan as a professional diplomat in 1985. He retired in 2020 as a Federal Secretary. During diplomatic postings in Canada, Bangladesh, Spain, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Kenya, Cuba, and Brazil. He published his seven books of poetry, and propose in three languages. In 2011, he was conferred upon the ‘Excellence of Literature’ Award. While in active service, he was also an Anchor-person on Pakistan Television for many years.
