MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: The Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizada has visited Muzaffarabad City and Rara High School for Girls named after Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

Ambassador Ali Alizada met the teachers and students of the school and expressed satisfaction over his visit to Rara High School in Muzaffarabad which was built by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, by the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, after the devastating earthquake happened in 2005 and was inaugurated in 2007.

The Ambassador emphasized that this year Heydar Aliyev Foundation marks its 15th anniversary and during these years Foundation always paid attention to the relations with Pakistan, and the President of the Foundation, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attaches particular importance to cooperation and relations with Pakistan.

While giving information about the activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, including its social and humanitarian projects implemented in the fields of education, health, culture, sports, science, technology, environment etc. in different countries as well as in Pakistan, the Ambassador emphasized the construction of 400-seat Rara High School for girls in Muzaffarabad as a good example of this and also manifestation of Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendly and brotherly relations.

The Ambassador noted that Heydar Aliyev Foundation is constantly paying attention to the school, as an Ambassador he himself periodically visits the school, and the relationship with the school will continue in the future as well.

Ambassador Ali Alizada presented the gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the school and pupils of the school, such as computers and printers, sports equipment, visual course materials, textbooks for children, school bags, children’s toys, some publications of the Foundation and other items.

The Principal of Rara High School Ms. Shireen Qadri and Director for Education of Kashmir said that the school was built and put into operation by the Foundation at difficult and needy times, and this step was highly appreciated. They requested to convey deep gratitude to the State of Azerbaijan, particularly to Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for the favorable conditions created for education at the school, for attention and constant care, and stressed the importance of the school in the acquisition of different knowledge, education, training and upbringing of the pupils.

Students of the Rara High School also presented some of their activities as well as a number of musical-cultural scenes, and dedicated their presentations to the Foundation’s 15th jubilee.
