AMSTERDAM, Netherlands: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Suljuk Mustansar Tarar visited the Training Camp set up by the Pakistan Hockey Team ahead of the upcoming International Hockey Federation (FIH) Nations Cup scheduled to take place in Poland from May 31 to June 9, 2024.
Ambassador Suljuk Mustansar Tarar met the players of Pakistan Hockey Team.
The envoy also met Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Tariq Bugti, Secretary Rana Mujahid, Manager Usman Hashmi, and Head Coach Roelant Oltmans, and discussed the upcoming matches.
Ambassador Seljuk Tarar said that sports relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands spans over decades. He said that hockey has been of great historical significance, and it’s a welcome sign that the Pakistan hockey is enhancing its ties with the Netherlands.
It’s worth noting that Pakistan held a five-day Training Camp in the Netherlands ahead of the FIH Nations Cup 2024.
In the event, Pakistan are in Group B with Malaysia, Canada, and France.
Pakistan will play their first match on May 31 against Malaysia followed by the second match against Canada on June 2 and third match against France on June 5.
