ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome met with the Minister of Law and Justice and Human Rights Azam Nazeer Tarar in Islamabad on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they held a discussion on a broad range of issues important to the bilateral relationship including judicial independence, upholding human rights, and strengthening the rule of law.
Ambassador Donald Blome expressed US support for Pakistan’s democracy and continued economic, political, and social development.

The federal law minister said that ongoing work on legal reforms is among the government’s priorities. Reforms related to the tax system will help in improving the tax base which will lead to economic growth. He spoke about the reforms that has been introduced including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) system and automation system.
The Ministry of Law and Justice is committed to providing legal support for ease of doing business in the Country, he said.
Finally, it was agreed to promote relations between the two Countries.
