LAHORE: Police and Young Doctors Association (YDA) members are fighting with each other outside Service Hospital Jail Road Lahore where doctors tried to created hurdle in the inauguration of Lahore Metro Bus Service. Police baton charge against the protesting doctors and arrested several of them, reports Dispatch News Desk (DND). Ceremony of Metro Buss has been delayed for some hours due to this scuffle.
Residents of Ferozpur Road have strongly criticised doctors and stated that doctors had been involved in vandalism in Lahore and they have become more criminals and today they tried to mess up one of the historic day for Lahore.
The Lahore Metro or Lahore Rapid Mass Transit System (LRMTS) is going to be inaugurated today on 10 Feb 2013 by Chief Minister Punjab Shabaz Sharif around 10 am in the morning. This bus has a capacity of carrying 250,000–300,000 passengers after construction. Currently the lahore rapid bus will be operational from Gajumata to Ichra according to the sources.
