This tightening of the nose against the notorious mastermind of the mafia, Malik Riaz, is a step in the right direction, provided the government answers critical questions such as why were Malik Riaz and his son Ahmad Ali Riaz spared prosecution in the Al-Qadir Trust case despite being the primary beneficiaries of the fraud?, why did NAB pursue only £190 million, instead of the £500 million available? and why is the national media silent on the entire affair? will the government appeal for harsher penalties in this case?, and why did Pakistani missions abroad not brief foreign media about this mega corruption case and important facts that led to the conviction of Imran Khan and his wife in this case? The silence of Pakistani missions abroad is supporting Khan-Riaz networking to portray their innocence and pitch their one-sided story in international media.

Malik Riaz who is known as “The Untouchable Malik Riaz” is living in Dubai as a fugitive while his ill-gotten and even encroached lands are prime real estate properties all over the country and his Bahria Town is operational and minting money. In the last thirty years, Malik Riaz’s immunity stems from the extensive network of politicians, and retired officials on his payroll, and this entrenched influence ensures his protection, leaving the public disillusioned.
It is understood that until Pakistan embraces the principle of equality before the law, the nation will remain vulnerable to exploitation by its elites, and justice must shed its wax nose and become a bulwark of integrity, or Pakistan will continue its descent into lawlessness, with its people as helpless spectators to the tragedy. Characters of the 190-million-pound corruption case have approached US Congress and PTI pleaded with US Congress members for their help. Malik Riaz and his protector former prime minister Imran Khan who had been convicted in the case of mega corruption are not giving up and are attacking the state and state institutions every day to hide the 190 million pounds of corruption.
As per the instructions of Imran Khan and through possible networking of Malik Riaz, PTI, organized a briefing program in Capitol Hill to involve foreign powers, especially Zionist lobbyists in the internal affairs of Pakistan and to defame the country. The sole purpose of this briefing was to join hands with the members of the US Congress and request them to intervene in the internal affairs of Pakistan for the release of Imran Khan from the 190-million-pound case in which he and his wife have already been convicted.
The sad thing is that organizing such a briefing and requesting members of the US Congress to join hands for the release of convicted Imran Khan actually proves that he and Malik Riaz now have nothing to prove their innocence in the courts, so they want to make a mockery of the judiciary by getting the founder released against the constitution and law through American intervention. It should be asked, what greater anti-nationalism can there be?
The request of the PTI to foreign powers to intervene in the internal affairs of Pakistan proves that in the eyes of the founder and his party, there is no such thing as national interest. The founder and his party are only interested in their own nefarious objectives, so no matter what, they will tarnish the country’s honor. This behavior not only shows the failure of their narrative but also raises questions about their political ethics.
Imran Khan and Malik Riaz do not stop using social media platforms to harass state institutions and a series of Twitter messages by Malik Riaz is a prime example of this in which he threatened state institutions with dire consequences if the 190-million-pound case is not put under the carpet (like thousands of cases of encroachment of state land). This act is tantamount to damaging the dignity of Pakistan and is increasing political instability in the country. Appealing for external intervention will be equal to compromising the country’s integrity, the sole purpose of which is to restore the power of the PTI and stop hearing corruption cases against Imran Khan and Mail Riaz. The conscious people of Pakistan have now understood the anti-Pakistan narrative, foreign agenda, and conspiracies targeting the well-being of Pakistan.
