ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Swat Expressway and Kohat-DI Khan Motorway have been included in the multi-billion dollars Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In this regard, an approval was given in an important meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) held in Islamabad.

As per a press release issued by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Central Media Department on Wednesday, CPEC’s Western Route turned into a reality in the meeting, as in it, an approval was accorded to new projects of the Ministry of Communications under CPEC.

The press release stated that through the efforts of the Ministry of Communications, the development of backward areas and Western Routes became a reality.

In the JCC meeting, Swat Expressway and Kohat-DI Khan Motorway were included in CPEC while DI Khan-Zhob road was also approved.

Likewise, Chitral-Gilgit-Baltistan and Nokandi-Maskail-Turbat road projects were also made part of CPEC.

In addition, Mirpur-Muzaffarabad-Mansehra road was also approved in the meeting of Pakistan-China Joint Coordination Committee of CPEC.
