CPECCPEC Tower to be built in Lahore

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa met the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore on Tuesday, and held a discussion on the progress of the CPEC-related ongoing projects in Punjab.

During the meeting, they agreed on the proposal to build a China Center / CPEC Tower in Lahore.

It was agreed upon that information desks for industrialists and investors will be set up in the China Center / CPEC Tower. It will help Pakistani traders and industrialists to gather all the relevant information on Chinese industries under one roof.

The Chief Minister and the Chairman CPEC authority also decided to take coordinated steps to promote the seed development and research related to the Agricultural Sector.

It was decided that 13,000 acres of land will be used for seed development and other agricultural research purposes.

Usman Buzdar said that they would extend all possible assistance to the Chinese investors to set up industries in Punjab. He pledged to ensure the protection, facilities, and concessions to the foreign investors in Punjab.

The Punjab Chief Minister further said that the regulations and transparency will be strictly followed for the allotment of industrial plots.

In his remarks, Lt General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the CPEC project is of great significance for the stability of Pakistan’s economy.

The Chairman CPEC authority said that there are ample opportunities for the growth in the Agricultural Sector. He said that they will benefit from China’s experience and expertise in the Agricultural Sector.
