ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has thanked the government of Pakistan for an accelerated momentum and greater focus on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Yao Jing paid the gratitude on behalf of the Chinese government when he visited the CPEC Authority on Saturday and met the Chairman CPEC Authority Lt. General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa.

The Chinese envoy also reaffirmed the commitment to add value to CPEC and bring dividends to the people of two Countries.CPEC - The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has thanked the government of Pakistan for an accelerated momentum and greater focus on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Meanwhile, in a letter to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, the Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that as a landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the CPEC project is of great significance to the further development of the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the building of a closer China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future.

President Xi Jinping said that the political parties of China and Pakistan have carried out friendly consultations on a regular basis, which have consolidated political consensus between the two Countries to vigorously promote the steady and long-term development of the Corridor project and high-quality BRI cooperation.
