ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) will organize an International Conference on “Cross-Regional Media Fusion among the Belt and Road Partners” at Margalla Hall in Islamabad on Tuesday, aims at to bridge the gap between the available data and the actual facts and figures regarding these projects.

The Conference will include prominent international speakers with media background from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan who will address the participants and will provide valuable insight regarding the topic.

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan will be the Chief Guest at the Conference, and make her address following the Opening Remarks by the President CGSS Major General (retd) Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery.

From Uzbekistan, the Chief Editor UZREPORT (Tashkent) Ismailov Muzaffar will speak on “Regional Initiative; Uzbekistan’s new Strategy of Development though Media Integration” and from Azerbaijan, the Senior Correspondent at Azerbaijan State News Agency (Baku) Shahin Jafarov will make his address on “The Significance of Baku Port highlighting through the fusion of Media Industry”.

From Pakistan, the CEO of X20 (PVT) Ltd. Asad Inam will shed lights on “The Role of Advertising Industry in the Cultural Integration of the BRI member Countries” whereas from Belarus, the Journalist at Publishing House “Belarus Today” (Minsk) Uladzislau Sychevich will speak on “Highlighting the Strategic Importance of Belarus through the fusion of Media Industry’.

The Ambassador at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Akbar Gasemi will speak on “Iran’s Strategic Partnership with Beijing in stressing upon the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative through Media Forum” followed by the address of the Director General China at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad Mudassar Tipu on “The Regional Cooperation through the Platform of Media”.

The Session 2 will begin with the address of the Chairperson Strategic Policy Planning Cell (SPPC) at Prime Minister Secretariat in Islamabad Dr Moeed Yusuf on “The Role of Media in strengthening the Belt and Road Initiative – Broader Perspective to the Global World”.

From China, the Deputy Director General & General Secretary at New Media Research Center, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) (Beijing) Dr Hunag Chu-xin will make his address on “The Cross Regional Media Fusion: Strengthening the Belt and Road Initiative” and from Kyrgyz Republic, the Expert from President Press Service (Bishkek) Adilet Adenisov will speak on “Belt and Road Initiative and Opportunism through Media Exchange”.

Form Tajikistan, Qanoatullo Saifulloev of “Khovar” New Agency (Dushanbe) will speak on “Establishing the Image of Tajikistan as the Hidden Gem for Belt and Road Initiative through Media Cooperation” while the Deputy Editor at The Sunday Times (Colombo) Noorul Ameen Izzadeen will make his address on “The inter linkages between Media Industry to Strengthen China – Sri Lanka Alliance”.

From Maldives, the Vice President at People’s National Congress (Male) Mohammad Saeed will speak on “Media Cooperation Leading towards the enhancement of economy and tourism industry” and the Director General at External Publicity Wing in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (Islamabad) Saeed Javed will shed lights on “Belt and Road Initiative towards Global Vision through Media Fusion”.
