ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman CPEC Authority Lt. General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Wednesday assured that in order to complete all projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) well in time all the efforts would be utilized to the best interest of the economy.
His assurance came in a meeting with the Federal Minister for National Food Security & Research Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar in Islamabad, in which they discussed the agricultural projects under the CPEC.
In the meeting, agricultural projects, opportunities and challenges under the CPEC were discussed in detail.
Khusro Bakhtiar told the Chairman CPEC that agriculture was one of the major components under the CPEC, and both the Countries had in that respect formulated long term plan which included increased yield/production of major agricultural commodities.
The federal minister further told that the development of cold chain system, storage, transport, infrastructure, construction, disease prevention and control with focus on establishment of Foot and Mouth (FMD) free zones.
