PakistanCPEC to change destiny of all countries of region: Mussadiq

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Spokesman to Prime Minister Musaddiq Malik has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would change the destiny of all the countries of the region.

In “News and Current Affairs” programme of Radio Pakistan, he said the development under CPEC was transparent and free of corruption.

Explaining the transparency and merit, Malik said the projects were advertised properly and the contractors were selected in a transparent manner including some parties from abroad.

The project is instrumental in job generation and help bring the unemployment in the project areas down considerably, he remarked.

Gwadar was basically a backward area and the present government has planned to transform it into a viberant and beautiful city. This port will become a busiest port in the future, he added.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, he said, has rightly stated that the project has changed the world’s perception regarding Pakistan.

Spokesperson said it was the biggest investment made by China in any country.
