ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Coronavirus (COVID-19) took 36 more lives across Pakistan while further 1,340 people suffered infections in the last 24 hours, the data updated by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday morning showed.

Out of 36 fatalities, 19 deaths were recorded in Punjab, 9 in Sindh, 7 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

With the latest fatalities, now the total number of deaths registered in Pakistan has mounted to 12,563.

Most of the deaths 5,185 have occurred in Punjab followed by Sindh which has suffered 4,276 deaths.

Likewise, KPK has so far recorded 2,027 deaths, Islamabad 488, AJK 286, Balochistan 199, and Gilgit-Baltistan 199.

To date, 569,846 Coronavirus Cases have surfaced in Pakistan including 255,430 in Sindh, 166,777 in Punjab, 70,716 in KPK, 43,282 in Islamabad, 18,972 in Balochistan, 9,718 in AJK, and 4,951 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, 533,202 COVID patients have now recuperated in the Country whereas 24,081 have yet to recover.
