The National Assembly was told that 95% reconstruction and widening work of InterJunction Principal Road (IJP Road) – which Connects the Federal Capital to Rawalpindi – has been completed.

The Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah told the House that the completion period of the IJP Road project is April 15, 2023 as per contract; however due to rains, now the project will be completed in mid of May 2023.

The minister apprised that three bridges and two flyovers are being constructed on the IJP Road.Construction of IJP Road to be Completed in May 2023To a question, the minister said that the widening of the 55.7 kilometers road from Dhokri Chowk to Murree is not under consideration.

The interior minister told that the said road is not under the control of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Rana Sanaullah said that the National High Authority (NHA) is maintaining the 12.5 kilometers road from Dhokri Chowk to 17-Mile round about and then further 43.2 kilometers road from 17-Mile round about to Lower Topa, Murree.
