BANNU, Pakistan: In what appears to be a significant development, as the Commissioner Bannu Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has sought reports from the district administrations of Lakki Marwat and North Waziristan pertaining to the ongoing anti-encroachment operation.

The Commissioner Bannu Division issued the directives while presiding over the monthly performance review meeting of the Revenue Department here on Wednesday.

Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that the anti-encroachment drive should be completed on the pattern of Bannu district and submit a report to him in this regard at the earliest.

The Commissioner went on to say that the district administrations should take urgent steps to retrieve state land so that could be used for public welfare.

The Deputy Commissioner Lakki Marwat Iqbal Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Bannu Captain (retd) Muhammad Zubair Khan Niazi, the Deputy Commissioner North Waziristan Shahid Ali, the Additional Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bannu, and Tehsildars from all over the Bannu Division were present on the occasion.

The Commissioner Bannu said that Assistant Commissioners, Tehsildars, and other officials of the Revenue Department should stake steps to ensure the record accuracy of the Revenue Department and remove the encroachments on government lands.

Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that the revenue department should leave no stone unturned to provide maximum relief to the people by timely redressal of their grievances. He directed the Tehsildars to improve their performance and tried to resolve the public complaints so as to ease the case load unto the district administration.

Yousafzai He said that the officers and personnel of the district administration and the revenue department, including the deputy commissioners, have full freedom in the discharge of their duties so as they could easily achieve the set targets and provide maximum relief to rank and file.
