PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar on Wednesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

On arrival at the Corps Headquarters, the COAS laid floral wreath at the Shahuada Monument.

Later, he addressed officers and men of Peshawar Corps.

The COAS appreciated the formation for monumental efforts in achieving peace and stability.

“We owe it to the sacrifices of our Shuhada for providing secure and enabling environment for socio-economic development in newly merged districts in particular and KP in general,” the COAS said.

General Bajwa asked them to always stay focus on their professional duties in the service of nation.

Earlier, on arrival at the Corps Headquarters, the Army Chief was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hassan Azhar Hayat.
