NationalCJS organizes meeting on advocacy efforts for minority rights

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Centre for Social Justice (CJS) organized a meeting on advocacy efforts for minority rights at a local hotel in Rawalpindi on March 27 in which people from different fields participated.

The participants included civil society, lawyers, journalists, leaders of minority wings of political parties and political and social workers.CJS organizes meeting on advocacy efforts for minority rights

   

Tayyaba Rafiq from CSJ stated the aims and objectives of the meeting.

The District Coordinator Samuel Bashir briefed the participants about the campaign for the important demands of minorities in Election 2024 and discussed the political outcomes of the campaign, the promises contained in the manifestos of the parties and the problems faced by the minorities.

The Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice Peter Jacob presented the agenda to the participants and asked the participants for their opinions to achieve the implementation of the promises included in the manifesto of the political parties.

Through the mutual consultation of the participants, it was decided to start a series of meetings with the leaders of the political parties in their respective areas, and they will be discussed to fulfil the promises contained in their party manifesto.
