JILIN: In China‚ at least 55 people were killed when a fire broke out at a poultry processing plant in Jilin province on Monday morning.

State-run Xinhua news agency reported that rescue workers are at the scene and the fire has not yet been put out.

State broadcaster CCTV said on its official micro-blog that the fire had been caused by an electric fault.
