Islamabad, Pakistan: Three vacant posts of ambassadors in Central Asia would be filled soon under the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to available information, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to fill vacant posts of ambassadors without further delay in Central Asia where some stations are awaiting Ambassadors since long including Turkmenistan where there is no Ambassador since last one and half year.

Only two countries out of five Central Asian States—Tajikistan and Kazakhstan have Pakistani Ambassadors.

There are five Central Asian states and three of them are without Ambassadors of Pakistan.

Ambassador Dr Irfan Shami who was in Tashkent Uzbekistan got retirement in mid of November 2019 and nobody is yet to be posted in Tashkent.

Ambassador Faisal Tirmizi was withdrawn from Bishkek Kyrgyzstan just after a year of his appointment and was appointed as head of newly-formed Kashmir Cell in Foreign Office. Now this station is also waiting for posting.

Ashgabat station is vacant since last Ambassador Murad Ashraf Janjua came back in July 2018.

According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
