Monitoring Desk: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ordered criminal investigation for determine causes and responsibility of an explosion in a military depot in Kazakhstan’s southern city of Arys

He moreover also thanked the volunteers who helped residents of Arys.

It is pertinent to mention that blast killed two people and left 165 injured in a town in the south of the country. The blast cause evacuation from Arys which is a town of 40,000 inhabitants.

They are in a really difficult situation at the moment,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev tweeted. The President of Kazakhstan added that the Government will help the residents and rebuild the town and houses damaged. Earlier it was reported that a blast occurred at the military depot in the town.

Two people were killed, 165 people after an explosion rocked a military depot in Kazakhstan’s southern city of Arys, Turkestan region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced Tuesday, China.org.cn reports.

According to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yuri Ilyin, one man killed in the Monday blast was a local resident, whose car was hit by the shell and caused his death. The other killed was a soldier of the Defense Ministry, and his body was found not far from the military unit during the search operations.
