ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not fly over Pakistan en route to Bishkek for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, instead choosing longer route.
According to the latest information, India’s PM Narendra Modi will not fly over Pakistan en route to Bishkek for the SCO Bishkek Summit, to be held on June 13 and 14, instead choosing longer route.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan on Monday decided in principle to allow flight of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fly over its airspace to Bishkek; though Pakistan had fully closed its airspace on February 26, 2019 after the Indian Air Force (IAF) violated Pakistan Air space for throwing pay load in Balakot are of Pakistan.
The IAF again violated Pakistan Air Space on February 27, 2019 and lost one Mig21 and one Sukhoi Su-30 in an action during a dogfight with Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Pakistan also captured one Indian pilot during the dogfight who was flying Mig1, and Sukhoi Su-30 was shot down inside the Indian territory.
After this incident, Pakistan closed down its air space for all types of air traffic to and from the Indian air space.
February 27 dogfight is considered as a great disaster for the Indian Air Force and experts in Russian Military Aviation circles criticized the IAF strongly, and believed that losing one Mig21 and one Su-30 by the Indian Air Force earned bad name for the Russian military hard ware all over the World.
The SCO Summit will be held on June 14 in the Ala-Archa State Residence.
It is worth noting that SCO member states include China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia have observer status.
As many as 434 foreign journalists from 115 media organizations from India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Mongolia, Japan have been accredited to attend the SCO Summit.
In addition, around 90 journalists from 32 media organizations of Kyrgyzstan would also participate in the event.
