We broke the news of Toyota Indus Motors (IMC) bringing Toyota Corolla Cross to Pakistan around the end of last year. The original plan of the company was to launch it by December 2020. However, the uncertain market position due to the pandemic delayed it. Now, the wait is finally over. Toyota IMC is starting the booking of Corolla Cross on April 10, 2021. The company will start the vehicle delivery on July 1, 2021. So, let’s catch up by taking a look at the salient features and offered variants to proceed with booking.

As reported, the company is launching the car in three variants. While the official names for these variants are yet to be revealed, the categories will show a similar trend of trim levels to target a greater audience.

The upcoming SUV is designed with the same architecture as observed in C-HR. Sleek exterior and dynamic architecture make the car a strong eye-catcher.

Engine Details

All three variants will house a 1.8-liter 2ZR-FXE engine under the hood. It is important to mention that this is the same engine type as used in the Corolla Hybrid sedan, Prius Hybrid, and C-HR. If we talk about the performance, the engine is capable of producing 98HP and 142Nm of torque.

The transmission sector of the Toyota Corolla Cross SUV highlights an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT) system.

Interior Features

As reported, the top-of-the-line variant will have a power-adjustable driver seat, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, 8″ touch screen display, and digital cluster. On the flip side, the base variant will have a manual passenger seat adjustment option, a CD system with Bluetooth, analog speed and RPM meter. All the variants will come with a 6 speakers setup.

Safety Features

Toyota Corolla Cross comes with several important safety features in all the variants offered. These include ABS, VSC, Hill-Start Assist, EBD, brake assist, and rear parking sensors. While this may be true, the top variant will feature front airbags along with curtain and knee airbags. The base variants will only have front airbags.
