Changan Karvaan is a mid-sized van. The MPV is a front-engine/ front-wheel drive subcompact van. It is available in Pakistan in two variants, Karvaan Standard and Karvaan Plus.

Engine and Power

Both the Versions of Karvaan MPV are equipped with a 999 cc Euro IV inline-four Cylinder OHC engine mated with 5-speed Manual Transmission and run using the front-wheel-drive system. The 1.0 Liter engine, generates 68 horsepower @ 6000 rpm with maximum torque of 92nm@ 4800 rpm making it achieve a maximum speed of 120km/h.

 

Exterior

Changan Kaarvan MPV has a sophisticated exterior with a boxy design and a slanting front. The front of the van sports a dual-wing chrome grille coupled with trapezium-styled headlights. Below the headlamps are high-density fog lamps with chrome lining. The rear of the van features side-swept rear LED tail lamps. The rear door slides open for easy entry and exit. Wide side mirrors make driving convenient.

Interior

The interior is spacious and comfortable. The space grey interior has a seating capacity of 6 passengers and the 3rd-row seats can be folded to increase boot space. The seats are wrapped in deluxe fabric and come with lumbar support.

The center fascia houses aux connectivity port and climate control knobs. Dual air conditioning provides ample cooling to 2nd and 3rd rows. It also has the option of adding 2 more seats to increase seating capacity. Safety features of Karvaan MPV include an anti-lock braking system, immobilizer, power door locks, and child lock. Other features include remote boot and fuel lid, steering adjustment, defogger, keyless entry, heater, and rear wiper.

Fuel Economy

The Changan Karvaan MPV has an impressive mileage of 10 km/l in the city and 12 km/l on the highway.  The fuel tank capacity of the van is 40 liters which are more than its competitors.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
