Suzuki’s Alto is arguably the most popular Kei car worldwide. The Japanese motor corporation has been working on the 9th generation Suzuki Alto for some time now. It was originally planned to unveil the model last year but due to Covid-19 it had to be rescheduled.

According to recent reports, the upcoming generation of Alto is set to make it’s debut in January 2022 in it’s home country, Japan. Thanks to the car’s brochure being leaked online, enthusiasts of the model do not have to wait till next year to gain insight on the specifications of the latest model.

Let’s have a peek inside the brochure and see what lies in store for the 9th generation Suzuki Alto.

Suzuki Alto 9th Generation Details

Exterior

At first glance, the modifications to the exterior are outright noticeable. The new Alto is slightly bigger than the precious one while managing a boxy shape.

The front of the car has a newer look. Firstly, a smoother redesign of the dual-beam projector headlights. Between them, is the front grille with a sleek chrome bar on top.

The window glasses are door handles are wider with 14-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels underneath. Suzuki Alto will introduce the two-tone color scheme with white rearview mirrors and roof.

Interior

The interior of the 9th generation seems to have a complete make over. The 9th generation Suzuki Alto comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument console, a manual AC with vertically oriented vents and a multi-functioning steering wheel.

Engine

The 9th generation will be one of the most fuel-efficient cars. The base variant is powered by an all new naturally-aspirated 660cc petrol engine with in-line 3-cylinder. Higher variants of the Alto will also offer mild hybrid systems.

These are the leaked specifications of the 9th generation Suzuki Alto. It is almost all of what we know about the new model. Suzuki’s Alto is already the most popular car in Pakistan with it’s 2019 model still running successfully in the market so it is possible for us to not get our hands on the new model anytime soon.
