This vehicle has a 1480cc engine that runs on 106hp and 145Nm torque. It has a 5- Speed DCT auto transmission. The vehicle has a sunroof for a better traveling experience, parking sensors, air-conditioning, heating function, height-adjustable Projector headlamps, cruise control on the exterior. Heated side mirrors are helpful in the rainy or foggy season to give a clear view to the driver. While the interior has 2 airbags, a 7-inch touchscreen, a matte black interior, and comfortable seats. It has a sleek and streamlined design. The price starts at Rs2.5 million.

Proton X70 is a long-awaited SUV category car in the list of 6 upcoming cars in Pakistan. The Malaysian SUV is a 5 seater car. It has a 1500cc engine with 177 hp and 255Nm torque. If we talk about the transmission, Proton X70 comes with a 7-speed Auto Dual Clutch Transmission. It has a 1.5L Turbo cylinder engine with a 60-liter fuel capacity. The Malaysian SUV is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. The exterior of the car is sleek and beautiful. It has power, steering, leather interior, push-button start, power windows and doors, LCD touchscreen, climate control, 4-G Wifi capable system, six airbags, ABS, cruise control, traction control, and other safety features. It will be available in red and grey color. The car will be locally manufactured in Pakistan from 21 April 2021. The price of this vehicle is not revealed yet as it will be launched on 18 December 2020.

DFSK introduced its compact SUV vehicle Glory 580 back in 2018. The enhanced variant is now introduced in Pakistan in 2020 under the name of Glory 580 Pro which has a 1500cc, 1.5L Turbocharged 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine with 147hp and 220Nm Torque. It has a capacity of 7 passengers. It is a front-wheel-drive with a 6 speed CVT automatic gearbox. Its interior has features like i-Talk intelligence voice command, LED Fog Lamps, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, adjustable rear seats, folding side mirrors, Climate control, rear A/C vents, cruise control, 4 airbags, leather interior, 360 degrees camera, a 9- inch touchscreen on the front and many other features. All this will be available in Rs 4.4 million which is the lowest in SUV range in Pakistan.

In December, the company is set to launch its crossover SUV, Corolla Cross, in Pakistan. It is a front-wheel-drive car. Along with its auto transmission variant, it also has a hybrid variant. Corolla Cross has a powerful 1798cc engine with 168hp and 305Nm Torque. It has a 7-speed Auto CVT transmission. If we talk about the engine technicalities, the new Corolla Cross comes with a 1.8L four-cylinder engine. This car has seven airbags, rear-seat air vents, a push-start button, folding rear seats, leather seats, LED headlights, a 9-inch display screen, sunroof, and climate control. KIA Lucky Motors launched its powerful SUV vehicle named KIA Grand Carnival which has entered the Pakistani market in December. It is a Front-Wheel drive vehicle. It has a powerful 3470cc engine of 3.5 liters V6 engine of 270hp and 331 Nm Torque. Its fuel type is petrol and has an automatic transmission. It has an 8-speed automatic transmission. The company launched it in two variants: GLS and GLS+. It is a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV). Its fuel capacity is 72 liters. 7 passengers can accommodate in the car. Its max speed is 160km/h.

Other main highlights include sliding back doors, power steering, vehicle balance stability, Anti-Lock Braking System, electric parking brake, rear-view camera, integrated memory seats, smart key entrance, dial-type gear shift, heated+ventilated seats, and two-tone interior. The price of KIA Grand Carnival starts from Rs. 7 million in the local market. The car has received moderate success in the country due to its huge size.

This new compact SUV is to be launched in December 2020 which is expected to blast the market with its entry because of the mind-blowing features that are engrossed in it. It has a 1550cc engine Turbocharged engine with 160hp and 250Nm Torque. The car is a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicle. It has a 7-speed DCT auto transmission.

The Morris Garages MG HS comes with a variety of loaded features. The much-awaited SUV comes with a seating capacity of 5 adults, heated and ventilated front seats, cruise control, 6 airbags, 360 degrees camera, paddle shifters, rear parking sensors, a 10-inch display screen that is compatible with Android and Apple, and Bluetooth connectivity. The price of this vehicle is Rs 5.5 million. The company has received more than 10,000 booking orders for the upcoming MG HS ahead of its launch. Auto experts in the country are foreseeing this vehicle to raise a tough competition against competitors.

The discussed cars are about to enter the local auto market. It is a bit too early to say if they will sustain a stable market in the country. However, with the new vehicles rapidly coming to the local roads, we can expect that these cars may bring a major shift in the conventional car-buying trends in the country.
