LAHORE, Pakistan: SimSim, Pakistan’s first free digital wallet, recently joined hands with The Cheez Group an e-commerce power house, to take a huge step forward in the digitization of the economy.

These two entities have collaborated to primarily digitize B2B and B2C payments for which an official signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, 27th September, 2017 between Mr. Aurangzeb Khan from The Cheez Group and Mr. Mudassar Aqil from FINCA Microfinance Bank.

The two CEOs discussed future plans for continued progress of digital payments in Pakistan. The sales team at Cheezmall has successfully brought onboard 4,000 B2B retailers who will be enabled with digital financial services via SimSim. An array of services including QR Payments, Bill payments and Cash management systems will be offered to these retailers. Further plans also suggest reaching consumers via these B2B merchants as well.

Mudassar Aqil, CEO FINCA Bank stated, “We are both happy and excited to be a part of this collaboration which will certainly bring about a very positive change in the industry of Digital Payments. We intend to construct a healthy relationship with Cheez Group which will ultimately benefit the people of Pakistan with convenient and secure digital payments. We are very excited about the upcoming events lined up which will surely ensure a long lasting business relationship”

Mr. Aurangzeb Khan, CEO Cheez Group added in “Cheez Group is looking for a great partnership future with FINCA. We have high expectations from the digital payment method of SimSim for all our future collaborations. Together, we will set a new trend of digital payments in Pakistan”.

Both parties have big plans for the future of Pakistan and its digital prowess. The underlying motive behind their plans is to provide inspiration to other merchants to move towards digital payments and climb on board the inevitable progress that Pakistan has in store.

His Royal Highnes conveyed his heartfelt acknowledgement to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu for the participation of Pakistan Air Force contingent comprising JF-17 Block-III fighter jets alongside air and ground crew in the Bahrain International Airshow. Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
