ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The prices of petroleum products in the Country are likely to be curtailed up to Rs 7.30 per litre for March 2020, as recommended by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

In a summary sent to the Petroleum Division on Friday, the OGRA recommended that the prices of petrol and high speed diesel (HSD) be reduced by Rs 5.89 and Rs 7.30 per litres respectively.

The OGRA also recommended a reduction in the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO).

The Ministry for Finance will consider the recommendations of the OGRA on Saturday, and make its decision accordingly.

It’s worth mentioning here that while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad earlier this month, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed his Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Babar to immediately formulate a comprehensive roadmap with the possibility to bringing down the prices of petrol, diesel and gas.

Earlier for February 2020, the federal government kept the petroleum prices unchanged.
