ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan witnessed a rise in its exports of textiles, plastic, and cement products in December 2021, according to the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce & Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.

Sharing the data on Twitter, the advisor told that Pakistan’s exports of men’s garments, home textiles, rice, cotton fabric, cotton yarn, women’s garments, jerseys & cardigans, T-shirts, fish & fish products, plastic, and cement products increased in December 2021 as compared to the same month last year.

The data revealed that against December 2020, in December 2021 Pakistan’s exports of men’s garments increased by 26%, home textiles by 2%, rice by 5%, cotton fabric by 17%, cotton yard by 11%, women’s garments by 13%, jerseys & cardigans by 55%, T-shirts by 46%, fish & fish products by 64%, plastics by 70%, and cement by 45%.

However, Pakistan’s exports of fruits & vegetables and surgical instruments declined by 19% and 3% respectively.

In terms of geographical spread, Pakistan’s exports to the United States, China, Netherlands, Spain, Bangladesh, Thailand, Srilanka, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan increased.

While exports to the UK, Germany, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and the Russian Federation decreased.
