Lamudi-logoKARACHI, August 12, 2014: Pakistan’s largest ever construction industry event is now underway in Karachi, with the inaugural Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) expo officially kicking off today.

ABAD, with support from Lamudi.pk, has organized the three-day expo from August 12-14 at Karachi Expo Center. The event, the first organized by ABAD, gives attendees a unique chance to learn about the construction sector which is the second largest job provider in Pakistan.

Already the organizers have received an overwhelming response from developers, builders, architects and other allied industries such as ceramics, steel, tiles and sanitary, all of which are also displaying their products.

The expo has also caught the eye of foreign investors, with delegations from UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia and other countries setting up stalls at the expo’s international pavilion. In total, there are 100 stalls at the expo, with a second pavilion for builders who have recently launched new projects and a third space for the allied industries.

Pakistan’s biggest property portal, Lamudi.pk, a key sponsor of the event, attracted large crowds to its eye-catching stall. The Lamudi team also invited architecture and engineering students from all over Pakistan to showcase their projects at the expo and have a chance to interact with industry experts.

Saad Arshed, Country Director, of Lamudi.pk states: “The ABAD expo is a unique chance to bring together all the builders, developers, real estate professionals and other industry experts under one roof.

The construction sector – which is the second largest job provider in Pakistan after agriculture – has played a huge role in the development of other countries. By supporting such expos, we hope to spark the same level of growth in Pakistan. We look forward to sponsoring more of such expos in the future.”

The expo continues at the Karachi Expo Center until Thursday, August 14. For more details, visit http://www.abadexpo.com/
