ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s exports of ICT and Telecommunication Services grew by 38% to US$ 1,119 million in July-January 2021 as compared to US$ 811 million in the same period last year, the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said.
Sharing the data on Twitter on Thursday, the adviser said that in January 2021, Pakistan’s exports of ICT and Telecommunication Services grew by 26% to US$ 161 million as compared to US$ 128 million recorded in January 2020.
Abdul Razak Dawood said that these exports now constitute a third of our total export of services, and therefore are of strategic importance to us.
“Insha’Allah, we would cross the US$ 2 billion this year,” he hoped.
