- Total reserves: $14.64 billion, up $173.3 million

- Commercial Banks reserves: $5.37 billion, up by $ 54 million
KARACHI, Pakistan: The Country’s total foreign reserves rose by US$ 173.3 million to US$ 14.64 billion in a week ended on August 09, 2024, as per the latest statistics released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The statistics showed that that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the Country as of August 09, 2024 were US$ 14,645.2 million.

SBP: $9.27bn (+$119.3m or +1.30%)
Commercial banks: $5.37bn (+$54m or +1.02%)

The Central Bank’s own reserves also jumped by US$ 119.3 million to reach US$ 9.27 billion.
The reserves held by the SBP stood at US$ 9,272.6 million in the week ended on August 09 whereas previously they were US$ 9,153.3 million.
Whereas the Commercial Banks had foreign reserves of US$ 5,372.6 million, witnessing an increase of US$ 54 million.
