- Total reserves: $14.67 billion, up $22.2 million

KARACHI, Pakistan: With a marginal increase of US$ 22 million in a week ended on August 16, 2024, the Country’s total foreign reserves reached US$ 14.67 billion, as per the latest statistics released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The statistics showed that that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the Country as of August 16, 2024 were US$ 14,667.4 million.

Commercial banks: $5.38bn (+$3m or +0.06%)

Similarly, the Central Bank’s own reserves also increased by US$ 19.2 million to stand at US$ 9.30 billion.
The reserves held by the SBP stood at US$ 9,291.8 million in the week ended on August 16 whereas previously they were US$ 9,272.6 million.
Whereas the Commercial Banks had foreign reserves of US$ 5,375.6 million, witnessing an increase of mere US$ 3 million.
